In Lake County, Florida, a collision involving an asphalt truck resulted in three people dead. The triple fatal wreck happened around 5:35 a.m. on State Road 33 at Bakers Lane in Clermont. According to a crash report, a Chevrolet Silverado traveling south on SR-33 entered the northbound lane and hit the front left of a semitruck, causing the semi to overturn. The pickup then hit an asphalt truck that was traveling behind the semi. Troopers said the impact caused the asphalt truck to run off the road and crash into trees before overturning.

The pickup truck driver, a 21-year-old woman, and her two passengers, a 50-year-old woman and 59-year-old man, all from Mascotte, died in the wreck. At Orlando Health South Lake Hospital, the two other drivers were taken  with non-life-threatening injuries.
